The quality score (Quality Score) is a score from 1 to 10 that Google Ads assigns to an ad based on relevance, expected click-through rate, and landing page quality.
The three components
Google calculates the quality score based on: the ad's expected click-through rate (CTR), the relevance of the ad text to the selected keyword, and the quality and relevance of the landing page where the link leads.
Why a Higher Score Saves You Money Right Away
Google rewards relevant ads with a lower cost per click and a better ad position compared to competitors with the same bid. As a result, two advertisers bidding exactly the same amount can end up with completely different positions and costs, based purely on relevance.
The score is never “final”
The quality score is continuously recalculated for each keyword and changes based on performance, season, and competition. Ongoing optimization of ad copy, keyword groups, and landing page’It therefore remains necessary, even for campaigns that have been performing well for some time.
